Our Commitment to You

The Fannin County Nutrition & Wellness Central Office Staff is made up of a director, bookkeeper, and nutrition specialist. The staff is available to work with school administrators, nutrition teams, teachers, parents, and the community concerning nutritional issues, free-and-reduced eligibility, special needs of students, and general information concerning the nutrition program.

The purpose of the Fannin County Nutrition & Wellness Program is to serve healthy, nutritious meals in a clean and safe environment, to meet the needs of children in the school system, and to educate them in proper nutrition for a healthy future. Fannin County provides free breakfast to all students in the school system.  Through the National School Lunch program, students are offered a variety of choices for lunch. Each school has a nutrition team made up of a nutrition manager and nutrition assistants.  Nutrition employees receive training annually.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
