Cognia Engagement Review
We have received the final report from our 2019 Cognia visit to the FCSS. The visiting team went to each campus, interviewed numerous stakeholders, conducted observations, and reviewed a tremendous amount of data. They thoroughly assessed our district’s performance against Cognia's Performance Standards, and they analyzed how we engage in continuous improvement and demonstrate quality assurance.
We are pleased to announce that the report indicates our accreditation status will be granted once again by the Cognia Global Commission. Our district’s final score is incredible: 355.97! This score shows a greater than 50-point increase from our last outstanding score of 305, which was earned in 2014.
Such a tremendous score and strong improvement would not be possible without the ongoing dedication and commitment to excellence of everyone – students, personnel, and community members – in our schools and departments. We are so proud of the FCSS, and thank you for your work to give the children of Fannin County the best education possible. Always remember that you are changing lives for the better.
