Title I
Each school in the Fannin County School System is identified as a Title I school. Title I, Part A (commonly referred to as Title I) is a federally funded program under the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA). This program is designed to support state and local school reform efforts to improve student achievement by providing services to schools based on student economic needs. Strategies to support parent and family engagement are part of Title I, Part A.
To be compliant with Title I, Part A guidelines (under ESSA), school districts and their Title I schools must post key documents and information on their websites, focusing on parent and family engagement and student performance/assessments.
The following documents are posted in compliance Title I, Part A:
- Parent and Family Engagement Information
- Parents' Right-to-Know (Teacher Qualifications)
- School Improvement Plan
- Student Achievement and Assessment Data
