September 10, 2026

Dear Fannin Family,

I am excited to share that construction is officially underway on our new Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) facility. This project represents more than a new building; it is an investment in our students, our workforce, and the future of Fannin County.

The new state-of-the-art facility will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities in environments that reflect the workplaces they will enter after graduation. With access to modern equipment and technology, our students will be able to discover their interests, develop valuable skills, and prepare for successful careers.

Our goal is for every student who graduates from the Fannin County School System to leave us confident, experienced, and prepared for their next step. Just as importantly, we want our students to have opportunities to build successful careers here at home, remain part of our community, and help move Fannin County forward.

I am grateful to the Fannin County Board of Education for prioritizing this project. I am also especially grateful to our community. This facility will be funded entirely through SPLOST dollars, allowing us to make this significant investment without placing the burden of construction costs on our local property tax digest.

As we celebrate the start of construction, I invite you to watch the video that highlights our CTAE programs and, most importantly, the students experiencing these opportunities firsthand. They are why this investment matters.

This new facility is also just one of many student-focused projects we look forward to bringing to life in the years ahead. As the Fannin County School System continues to grow and plan for the future, we will remain focused on creating opportunities, improving learning environments, and making investments that directly benefit our students.

When we invest in our students, we invest in the future of Fannin County.

We are Fannin!

Shannon M. Dillard

Superintendent
