CTAE

With the new CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) facility, we aim to ensure that students graduate with skills that make them employable and self-sufficient. A place to implement programs that foster a strong workforce and community by applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

Process:

Floor Plan and Construction Approval Process:

1. Floor Plan Development

  • Gather input from administration, teachers, and finalize draft floor plans.
  • Submit plans for review and input from local law enforcement and the local EMA.
  • Obtain approval from the Georgia Department of Education.

2. Engineering and Design Coordination

  • Once floor plans are approved, the architect meets with civil engineers.

  • Civil engineers complete their review and processes.

  • The architect finalizes drawings and renderings.

3. Construction Management and Approval

  • The Construction Manager at Risk (CM) develops a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).

  • The GMP is presented to the board for approval.

  • If approved, contracts are signed.

4. Mobilization

  • Upon contract approval, the selected contractor may mobilize—beginning with site preparation and earthwork (“moving dirt”).
