Fannin Family,

We are excited to announce that the Fannin County School System has achieved a district-wide Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Single Score of 77.5! This score officially places us above the state average and confirms our standing as a leader in the Pioneer RESA region, where we rank 4th, just one-tenth of a point behind the third-ranked district.

Fannin Family,

As we celebrate Literacy Week, I want to share a message from The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. In this story, a young girl named Vashti believes she cannot draw — until a teacher believes in her. With simple encouragement and faith in her ability, that teacher helps Vashti discover her potential and find her confidence.

Earlier today, a student at Fannin Middle School ran from the building. The situation required the
involvement of the school administration and other community first responders. The situation was quickly
contained, and the student is safe.

At no time was there any danger to other students, staff, or the school community. We appreciate the swift
response of our School Resource Officer, the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, Fannin County EMS, the
Blue Ridge Police Department, and the Fannin County Middle School team.
